As predicted, Rahm is going to fall on his sword for Barack. The surprise in all of this is that Bill is mixed up too. I would have thought that Clinton would have had more sense than that. But then again, he knew that his butt was safe because he has no authority to offer the job and is out of the political arena for all intents and purposes. The thing that bothers me the most is that Fox is the only one reporting ANY of this. This could potentially be as big or bigger than Watergate. On my way down to our vacation spot this weekend I listened to MSNBC, CNN, HLN, Fox, ABC, POTUS, and Bloomberg. Fox was the only one talking about it. Everyone else was following Gary Coleman's death.
ABC has a tiny story on it from May 28th. CBS has one from May 29th, buried in the search as well of course. CNN did have the story listed without searching, but you had to drill down three levels to get to it under Politics for the US. So far only Fox and Drudge have lead with the story.
For a story that is potentially larger than Watergate, the press appears to be avoiding it like the plague. So what do we do now? Obama has assigned people to "Look Into" the matter and of course they found nothing. Republican's have called for Holder to assign a special prosecutor to investigate, and he has refused to assign anyone. So the coverup continues. Even if they do get it to move forward, Rahm will fall on his sword for Obama and it will all be swept under the rug, like any good Chicago scandal.
