Obama is the ultimate spin master. Horrible job news came out today and he says we are headed in the right direction? What, if we want to become a third world country, maybe. He had his Labor Secretary, Hilda Solis, spewing a bunch of BS about "There are Jobs out there!" Where?! If you can fight with the fortune 500 execs and kick their old man butts you might get the job flipping burgers at Mickey D's. Maybe you can displace Juan in the fields, picking fruit. I know that's where I thought I would end up after my Masters Degree. (Where is that silly sarcasm button again?)
She states: ..."more than a year ago, when the economy was losing a staggering 800,000 jobs a month"... and goes on to say "During the past eight months, the economy has averaged 95,000 new private sector jobs." WHAT?!?! Ok, 8 months at 800,000 jobs a month is 6,400,000. She says " The Recovery Act saved millions of American jobs " Then says it's only 95,000 jobs! Um, correct my math, but that is a net loss of 6,305,000. Those 95,000 jobs saved by the 1.3 Trillion dollar Stimulus package only cost our country $13,684,210.53 each. Hell, you could have paid each of those people like they won the lottery and done better. What a crock!
So just exactly what direction are we headed in Mr. President? The right direction?! You have GOT to be KIDDING ME! Please don't tell me you think I'm that stupid. Please.

I'm Back! And nothing has changed
How long is the Obama administration going to contiunue to blame the Bush administration for all their problems? This is like a little kid throwing a tantrum for WAY too long. Biden is again blaming Bush for the economic woes of the American public. I would like to know exactly when this ceases to be the old administrations problem and becomes their problem.
Now they are reviving the public option for Healthcare. Did they finally realize that every employer is going to drop healthcare coverage in favor of the lesser penalty tax? And they are pushing the carbon tax BS. Talk about killing jobs. That little puppy is going to do more to kill jobs than anything Bush I or Bush II ever did.
The reason for my absence has been the frantic job search I have been doing for the past month. I have applied for unemployment and that is such a joke. I am going to get the maximum allowed. A whole 320.00/week. That won't even make my house payment! Much less feed four people and pay the electric. Jobs is what this butt head needs to be focused on. How to create them, not kill them!

Why we should legalize Pot.
I do not smoke pot. I have not smoked pot. Even if they legalize it I most likely will not smoke pot. So why the heck do I want to legalize it? Because I watched my grandfather go through two very painful bouts of cancer before it claimed his life. Because I have watched people with glucoma go blind when it could have helped. And why the hell is it illegal anyway?
It's not a violent drug like cocaine or meth. You don't go crazy for it when you run out. People who smoke pot don't generally kill little old ladies for their jewelry so they can score another dime bag. People who smoke pot don't run around the neighborhood with a baseball bat killing the demons trying to eat their brains. They will sit naked in a beanbag eating cheetos. They will lay on the couch and laugh their ass off at something, we're not quite sure what, but something.
Pot on the whole is much less harmful than alcohol and more medicinally beneficial. It could have alleviated much of my grandpa's pain during chemo. It could have stimulated him appetite so that he didn't get down to 98 pounds.
And think of what it could do for the economy. We came out of the great depression by legalizing alcohol. The taxes generated off of it would pay off the Dems trillion dollar fiasco of a bailout. Thousands of new jobs would be created. The american farmer would be revitalized with a new cash crop. I would think all these old Dem Hippies would love to legalize pot. It would be a dream come true. We would instantly become the number one vacation spot in the world. So why would they not want to legalize it? Because it would fix the problems they have created? Because it would empower more people? Hmmm. It's time for a change. He promised change, so where is it. All I see is more of the same.
