Food Supply, Jobs, and more Government Power
The media has whipped the uneducated public into another frenzy. They have recalled eggs because they are contaminated with salmonella. Oh My God,... We're All Going To Die! The sky is FALLING! .... Wait, I had eggs for breakfast, and there are eggs in my bread, and the cake I had at lunch. Why am I still alive? Because for those of you that don't know, most food has some salmonella on it already. 80% of your chicken in the stores is crawling with it. The steak that you grill has e-coli on it too. Your chicken probably has that too. You can find salmonella in unpasturized milk. So why aren't we all dead?
Because most of us COOK these items before we eat them. If you cook those eggs they are so frantically recalling you will have no problem whatsoever! But the government has seen an opportunity.
As Biden says, never let a good disaster go to waste. They are going to use this to impose more government regulations. The target is the huge agri businesses. I am NOT defending them. They have turned egg production into a machine and produce what are pale copies of what an egg should be. But the fall out of this regulation is going to hit the small farmer and do away with even more jobs.
It seems to me that we are giving them the rope and these idiots are more than happy to hang themselves with it. They have pushed us into a depression with their job killing policies and power grabs already. Now they are shooting for revolution. The mob is already there. We are only waiting for two things to make that happen. A leader and a spark.

Bloggers Unite! Ciberspace is not inside a City Limit!
The brilliant people in Philadelphia have decided that if you write a blog, you are a business. Therefore, you owe them money.

This is so similar to what happened to me with the City of Jefferson. I live in the county, well outside the Jefferson City Limits. I received a notice that I owed the city $178.00 for a business license. I went in to inquire why I would have to buy a business license for Jeff City since I live in the county. Their response was to ask me if I had any clients that live in Jeff City. Why yes I did.
If I had clients that lived in Jefferson city, then I had to buy a business license for jefferson city. I asked them if they also dunned Amazon, Microsoft, and Google for a business license. She got huffy and I told them to take me to court if they wanted my money. I told them I lived in the county and they had absoloutly no right to dun me for such a stupid thing.
That was two years ago. I still haven't heard anything from anyone, so I guess they decided to drop the issue. If I hadn't stood up for myself though, they would have intimidated the money out of me. How many others have they extorted from? I hope all of these folks form a class action suit for harassment and intimidation and sue Philadelpia for every dime they have left.

The Death Panels Start

Maybe Sarah wasn't nuts you hippocrits! This is just the start. More and more drugs are going to be analyzed according to cost effectiveness instead of disease effectiveness. More cancer patients are going to die because it just doesn't make financial sense to keep them alive. And grandma and grandpa get a handful of hydrocodone because it's cheaper to put them to sleep than to extend their life.

An idea whose time has come
This will take less than thirty seconds to read. If you agree, please pass it on.
Governors of 35 states have already filed suit against the Federal Government for imposing unlawful burdens upon them. It only takes 38 of the 50 States to convene a Constitutional Convention.
For too long we have been too complacent about the workings of Congress. Many citizens had no idea that members of Congress could retire with the same pay after only one term, that they didn't pay into Social Security, that they specifically exempted themselves from many of the laws they have passed (such as being exempt from any fear of prosecution for sexual harassment) while ordinary citizens must live under those laws. The latest is to exempt themselves from the Healthcare Reform that is being considered...in all of its forms. Somehow, that doesn't seem logical.We do not have an elite that is above the law. I truly don't care if they are Democrat, Republican, Independent or whatever. The self-serving must stop. This is a good way to do that. I'm Back! And nothing has changed
How long is the Obama administration going to contiunue to blame the Bush administration for all their problems? This is like a little kid throwing a tantrum for WAY too long. Biden is again blaming Bush for the economic woes of the American public. I would like to know exactly when this ceases to be the old administrations problem and becomes their problem.
Now they are reviving the public option for Healthcare. Did they finally realize that every employer is going to drop healthcare coverage in favor of the lesser penalty tax? And they are pushing the carbon tax BS. Talk about killing jobs. That little puppy is going to do more to kill jobs than anything Bush I or Bush II ever did.
The reason for my absence has been the frantic job search I have been doing for the past month. I have applied for unemployment and that is such a joke. I am going to get the maximum allowed. A whole 320.00/week. That won't even make my house payment! Much less feed four people and pay the electric. Jobs is what this butt head needs to be focused on. How to create them, not kill them!
